Terms of Service — Tick

Not reviewed by a lawyer. Written to describe honestly what the service does and what it does not promise. Have it reviewed before launch, particularly the liability section, whose enforceability varies by jurisdiction and which Turkish consumer law limits.

What Tick is

Tick is an expense tracker published by Arkon Technology. You type in what you spend and it keeps a record, converts between currencies, and shows you where the money went.

What Tick is not

It is not accounting software and not financial advice. The totals it shows are the sums of what you entered. It does not check them against your bank, and it does not know whether what you typed is correct. Do not file a tax return from it without checking the numbers.

It does not connect to your bank. There is no account linking, no transaction import, no open banking. Every expense in Tick is there because you typed it.

Your account

One person, one account. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has it.

You must be 16 or older.

Subscriptions

The first 14 days are free and require no payment method.

After that, adding new expenses requires a subscription: $2.99 per month or $19.99 per year, charged in your local currency at the price your store shows. Prices may differ by country because of local pricing and tax.

Viewing, reports and export keep working without a subscription, permanently. Your records remain readable and exportable whether or not you pay. Only adding new expenses is gated.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time through your Apple or Google account — cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running to its end. Refunds are handled by whichever store you bought from, under its rules, not by us.

Payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.

Your data

Yours. See the Privacy Policy. You can export everything at any time and delete your account from inside the app.

If we ever discontinue Tick, we will give at least 60 days' notice and keep export working for that whole period. Nobody should lose their records because a product was retired.

What we ask of you

Do not attempt to break into other people's accounts, disrupt the service for others, or use Tick to store anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.

What we promise, and what we do not

We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Bugs happen, providers have outages, and phones break.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Export is there for that, takes a few seconds, and is the reason it is free and unrestricted.

To the extent the law allows, Arkon Technology is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and total liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Where consumer law gives you rights that cannot be waived — as Turkish and EU consumer law does — those rights are unaffected by anything here.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the app will say so before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Tick afterwards means accepting the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you keep any right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.
